Policy on Commitment to Fair Compensation and the Promotion of a Living Wage

1. Purpose

At Frutality, we believe that people are our organization’s main asset and that a sustainable company must generate economic, social, and environmental value in a balanced way.
In keeping with our values and our process of continuous improvement, we publicly state our commitment to a fair, transparent, and responsible compensation policy, aimed at promoting the well-being of our employees and contributing to the development of quality employment.
This commitment is reinforced through Frutality’s participation in the United Nations Global Compact Spain’s Sustainable Suppliers Training Program, an initiative that promotes the integration of the Ten Principles of the Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals into business management.

2. Frutality’s Commitments

Frutality is committed to:

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable labor legislation regarding compensation.
  • Ensuring that all full-time employees receive at least the minimum interprofessional wage in effect.
  • Periodically reviewing the company’s compensation policy, taking into account the evolving cost of living, the organization’s economic situation, labor market competitiveness, and business sustainability.
  • Promoting a compensation policy based on objective criteria, equity, equal opportunity, and non-discrimination.
  • Periodically evaluating the availability of internationally recognized methodologies for determining a Living Wage, including those accepted by B Lab, in order to progressively assess the adequacy of our compensation policies.
  • Fostering a stable, safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment that contributes to the professional and personal development of everyone in the organization.

3. Current Situation

As a reflection of this commitment, Frutality regularly monitors its workforce’s compensation conditions.
As of the approval date of this policy, the lowest-paid full-time employee earns a gross monthly salary above the minimum interprofessional wage currently in effect in Spain, demonstrating the company’s commitment to keeping compensation above the legally established minimum.
Frutality recognizes that the concept of a Living Wage is a different standard from the legal minimum wage and will therefore continue to monitor methodologies recognized by specialized organizations and accepted by B Lab in order to evaluate future improvements in this area.

4. Continuous Improvement

Frutality understands sustainability as a process of continuous improvement.
For this reason, Management will periodically review this policy and promote actions that help strengthen employment quality, employee well-being, and the creation of shared value, in line with:

  • The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
  • Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
  • The continuous improvement principles promoted by the B Corp movement.

5. Publication and Transparency

This policy will be published on Frutality’s corporate website as evidence of the company’s public commitment to fair compensation and the continuous improvement of its labor practices.
